We are a bunch of writers who publish thoughts and articles on this blog.
We largely write on politics, but we do try to keep up in other areas too. There are sections on music, film, books, the media, life, the universe and almost anything on the site. Admittedly, some of them may be quite small at the moment, but we're working on it...

I don’t mean to be too critical, but the whole point of a cartoon is that it’s simple and clear… all the text on this and the others really detracts from the possible humour.
You need to snazz it up a bit!
I think I’d contest that the point of all cartoons was that they were simple and clear - a number of cartoons, particularly the decent drawn ones, can be fairly complex, multi-layered and take a little while to appreciate properly.
However, I do concede that the point of -this- type of cartoon is that it should be clear and simple. In this case, I suspect I could plead that the sheer amount on the text was part of the joke itself, given that it’s playing on Brown’s terrible convolution - but that would rather be an excuse. You are right, they are all too wordy on the whole, and I do need to work on it. Early days, though - I should get a bit better with time. I hope, anyway…
As for the snazzing it up, I’ll try, but the creative possibilities on MS Paint, my only tool, are distinctly limited.
Thanks for the advice!
