Link of the Day
I am forbid by blog policy from naming the subject of one of BenSix’s recent pieces, but it’s well worth a read all the same. I read the article he targets and found it inexplicably agitating. Ben managed to root out the flaws effectively and with finesse.
I’m certainly pleased that he saved me the bother.
(In other news: if I hear the word “Postmodern” uttered again, I may well have to punch someone. Preferably an intellectual.)

Postmodern is bad, but post-feminist is OK?

Thank you.
I had a brief, and much regretted, period of decency, so it’s easy to spot my own tricks. The attitude stems, I believe, from complacence of thought, as easily evidenced by the fact* that Nick was plagiarising himself plagiarising somebody else.
* See the updates.
Barely anyone has heard of post-feminism.
My main objection is the raw over-use of the term. By this stage I’m simply sick of hearing it. Discussed, referenced, attacked, defended, whatever. And I haven’t even reached university yet…
And Ali’s in control of the coding. I’ll ask him when he returns from holiday, but I’d imagine it’s a confine of the system rather than a wrong setting. Wordpress makes up for it in other ways.
Ben - I’m glad you’ve realised the value of indecency, welcome back.
“Ben - I’m glad you’ve realised the value of indecency, welcome back.”
The curious thing was that I found decency - not in the ‘invade Iraq (and maybe Iran)’ form but in the ’something needs to be DONE, it’s not really so SIMPLE’ form’ - straight off the back of being a pimply, aggravating sort of socialist (without, of course, knowing what the hell the whole socialism thing was about).
In recent times I’ve made the rather more cogent decision to suspend ideology and begin thinking.

You’ve hit the nail straight through the head there.
