  1. Sullivan’s the wrong fellow to sneer at. He’s been the blog to read for the emerging civil war on the Right of the US during the later stages of the election. He has also, from early on, pursued the hapless Palin with a vengeance.

  2. Pff, stuff and nonsense. I’m one of the biggest fans of Sullivan around. Have been for yeaaaars. Hard-core Dishite, here. Early backing of Obama much appreciated, although quite frankly his approach to Palin was best described (by a PoMoCon, no less) as “Flogging a dead horse to make sure that it doesn’t come back as a zombie horse”. A worthy activity, for sure, but not so fun for this vegetarian to watch.

But intellectual conservatives never cease to amuse me. As much as I like the man his efforts to make Toryism make any sense while not being an arse is more an object of mirth for me than something I can seriously engage with.

Sullivan has been great to read, and I wish he would do away with the tired label ‘conservative’ and become one of the more moderate (i.e. conservative) Democrats. There are quite a few in the House, and the Democrats now represent a broad spectrum of society.
